Literally drove all day... Mission accomplished.  I think the pups are happy to be home too....peeing on every pad they can find...

Did some things I didn't want to do... Drove right thru Cincinnati and Dayton... In the rain... And made it safe and sound.  The buggy needs some attention.  But she made it...I drank my lite lime beer soon as I could get to it.... Chillin...

Learned so much these last few weeks... About myself... And about how blessed I am...

Every part of this trip was awesome!  I learned I really can do whatever I decide to do..was I nervous?  Oh yea!  I never will love semi trucks.. Nope... Not ever... But I talked to a nice ole trucker briefly today.. Asked him a question about where RV's belong at rest stops.. He was very kind.  No want to make those guys upset... I found myself stuck in between 2 trucks often... But I hailed Mary and thanked Jesus more often...Said a few nastys too... Ok.. More than a few.. But only when it was deserved.  There are crazy drivers out there!

Thank you Bernie and Jan!  Loved our outings... And thank you for the great  cooking... And helping me get the rv awning to work... And for putting up with the pups.... Love you guys so much... Been missing you...  And it was so great seeing niece Emily and husband Bradley!  And those beautiful kids.  You are such wonderful parents...Bradley.. You're one funny guy!  Smoochies to all of you.

Philip.. I had such a great time.  Zoey misses you.. Me too.  Thanks for the Apple festival... It was fun because we made it so!  And I really enjoyed your friends at dinner.. And your beautiful daughters.. And the meal they prepared...Amy.. I'm still laughing about Max...Scotty.. You are a chef!!! Suzanne.. That food got me thru several days of good eating!! Much appreciated!

Thank you Phil for showing me how to check my tires... I did it yesterday!!! Yay! And for getting me off the mountain...that was scary! But you were calming..you are so nice!  I love my plant... She survived.  And the pottery.. It will always be my favorite bowl....

Now..need to do laundry.... And put all this stuff away... At least I will have plenty of time to do it...

Life is a cool adventure... Next year... Westward bound!

If I don't post the next few days.. Its cuz i can't recharge my phone... Oh well!

More rain...

Only drove 3 1/2 hours today before the sky got a little unpretty.  Then there was the wind.. And finally some light rain. I decided to find a campground.. Nice KOA .. But by far the most expensive...but I feel safe.. So thats all that matters at the moment... And I found brown doggy gifts that needed to be cleaned up.. And that's not something I'd want to pull over along I-75N and take care of...gotta go with the flow. So we sit and enjoy...tomorrow's another day..

Good morning Tennessee!

They honor the military at this campground. I like that ... Just been raining off and on all day... So I've been chilling.  Did some laundry..and the dishes. Still rationing food.. But eating well.  Another lesson learned... Turn the headlights off!  I'm spoiled.  My last few cars just do it.... Guess what.... Not the ole buggy... I do have an emergency start button.  Tomorrow will be interesting.....

Storm coming!

Decided to hoofy north.. Didn't want to stay in the last campground.  Nasty bathrooms.  Plus the sky was looking ominous... Wanted to at least get to Knoxville... Wasn't that far away... So didn't even drive 3 hours.  Was on 75... But since I have no navigator.. Found myself here instead there. Really can't get lost if there's nothing in stone. right??  Its kind of fun .. As long as I head north.  But when its time... Will go west to avoid  Cincinnati... No want to go there!!! Nope! And since there's 100% chance of rain tomorrow..I've already decided to stay.. There's a nice shower.. And clean laundry area!  Yay!!!! And a few food items if I get really hungry!

Heading North

Sorta.... Got royally stuck in Phil's driveway on way up to the road. The rain did not help matters... But good ole AAA came to the rescue.  Ok. I shed some tears.. Was a little scared.. But ole Phil knew what to do... And AAA was there almost right away... And RV not damaged.. Thank you Jesus...drove a little while. In another poedunky campground... But all safe for the night. Pups happy too

Apple Festival!

Very cool day...after some rain.. Went to the Ellijay Apple Festival.  No.. Didn't ride the camels.. But they sure are cute! Had an excellent "county fair-like" chocolate milk shake.. Got stung by a bee..(he wanted my shake and I said no way...). 

Later in the day... Got to meet Phil's 2 daughters and a son-in-law ... Had THE BEST meal ever at the home of one of the daughters... and her hubby... Really... Truly.. The very best tasting meal ever...Yes! Yes! Yes! ..Yummmmm..  lots of laughing......the pumpkin and chickens live with he and she.  And now...sadly.... Getting things together for the journey home tomorrow. Will miss this place...and these folks...what fun.

Happy Thursday

Slept in this morning till 8!!! Doesn't happen... Even the pups didn't trample me!  Yay!  Very busy.. And fun day.  Went to ihops for breakfast.. Grocery shopping.. And then a walk through downtown Eilljay.  Lots of antique shops.. Just a neat little town!  Back home at the mountain.. Ole Mr Mechanic Phillip checked out the buggy..at least she wasn't smoking today.  Might need a little TLC when we get back home...we'll see.

Went to dinner at Ruby Tuesdays with his good friends Pat and Bill.  More laughing and yapping! Very nice couple.  Back home to more conversation and pup walks.  Everybody's tired tonight! Having sooo much fun.....

Ellijay Georgia!

Left Bernie and Jan's this morning a little after 10.  Thank you so much for a wonderful visit!! Arrived here about 1:30 pm today to see my good buddy Phil.. The trip from the highway down the mountain to his house was something to behold!  Smoke coming from somewhere under the hood.  We'll check it tomorrow.  Lots to talk about.  Took a nice walk...Took puppies for many walks... Ate some really good chili.. And talked some more... Throw in a bunch of laughing... And there ya go! Great visit. More fun tomorrow. Such a dear friend...

Another sweet day..

Again.. Beautiful sitting on the porch weather...dog walks.. meals with family...getting to know my awesome great nieces and nephew......seeing more sites  around Athens... magic card trick entertainment....really love it here. Thank you Bernie, Jan, Emily and Bradley.  Love y'all!  (That's how they say it in Georgia)

Botanical Gardens of Athens

Started the day out with one awesome breakfast.  Thanks Jan! You always did know how to make the best meals...Yummmm....Got to see my niece Emily and her beautiful little ones!  All very adorable.  Day trip to the Botanical Gardens... Very cool....And weather was perfect.  Later.. Jan and I headed to Olive Garden.. Oh so good! I'm tuckered... Pups doing good too.. We're all snuggled in for the night in the buggy.. I hear crickets.. Will sleep good tonight.
